The Faculty of Arts has hosted a book launch event celebrating the completion of an encyclopedia on the history of Al-Najaf city. The encyclopedia was authored by Dr. Hassan Al-Hakeem, a faculty member at the College of Arts, and it was of 50 volumes. The encyclopedia documented versatile aspects in Al-Najaf city history including the cultural, intellectual, and literary ones. It also explored crafts, dialects, traditions, customs, and families in the city throughout various epochs, the pre-Islamic era, then the Islamic ones, the modern, and contemporary times.
