Academic Debate: The Role of Contemporary Poets in Society

The Faculty of Education at the University of Kufa held a debate session on “The Role of the Contemporary Poet in Society”. The session included a lecture by Dr. Kawakib Issa Al-Salami, in which she dealt with the role of the contemporary poets in society. The debate centered around various themes such as moral values, education, aesthetic concepts, and masculinity in the Iraqi society through reflecting on poets’ modern poems. The discussionfocused on the creativity of the contemporary rhetorical poets who convey ideas to hearers and readers in a creative and effective way.
