Teaching staff members from the Faculty of Agriculture – University of Kufa, Dr. Ali M. Amer, Dr. Aqeel Y. Al-Shukry, and Professor Seif Ali obtained a patent for “the use of the local Nile flower herb powder as an inhibitor of bacteria and fungi instead of wheat in the diets of lab rats.”
The researchers said that the patent is of great importance in treating the Nile flower plant, which represents a pest that threatens agricultural crops, and the possibility of getting rid of it in a way that enables the use of its powder in treating some types of bacteria and fungi.
