The Faculty of Nursing – University of Kufa held a workshop “ Childbirth without pain ”
The workshop aims to introduce nursing staff to the types of treatments and drugs used during childbirth.
It included lectures on administering small amounts of anesthesia to the spine through a catheter, it is called epidural anesthesia, to anesthetize the lower part of the body during childbirth.
It concluded that epidural injection is a safe procedure during childbirth to significantly reduce pain compared to types of analgesics or other anesthesia methods.
