The Geomatics Center- University of Kufa held a scientific symposium “Geomatics and the possibility of monitoring pollution and limiting its effects.”
It aimed to introduce students of the Food Department at the Faculty of Agriculture to the process of preserving food and the types of pollutants it is exposed to.
It included lectures on types of pollution, its sources, and the importance of geomatics in studying pollution and limiting its effects.
It recommended the treatment of waste resulting from human and industrial activity before discharging it into water resources, sewage treatment, and conducting periodic checks of usable water samples to ensure that they are not contaminated.
