The Faculty of Law – University of Kufa held a symposium on Combating Domestic Violence
It included the seriousness of domestic violence, the definition of laws and legislation that criminalize violence in all its forms, the most important laws specialized in violence and the methods to educate society about the dangers of domestic violence.
It concluded the violence that family members, especially women, are exposed to is not limited to verbal violence or physical harm, but includes the psychological aspect, and its seriousness is no less than the physical harm.
